Getting to Goa
For many of our guests, this will be your first trip to India — how exciting! Goa is incredibly welcoming, but it’s also a little different from what you might be used to. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to make your journey smooth and stress-free.

Visas
-
Apply here a month before travel.
-
Visas are typically granted within 24–48 hours.
-
Once approved, you’ll receive your visa by email — just print it out and carry it with your passport.
Flights
-
Major airlines like British Airways, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, and Qatar Airways offer excellent connections via Bombay, Delhi, Dubai, Doha, or Bangalore.
-
If your stopover is outside India, your checked luggage will usually go all the way through to Goa.
-
If your stopover is within India, you’ll need to collect your bags and re-check them for your domestic flight to Goa (make sure your domestic allowance matches your international leg to avoid paying excess).

Airports
-
GOX (Manohar International): The smoother, international airport — about 60 minutes away, but worth the extra travel time for its efficiency and amenities.
-
GOI (Dabolim): Closer to the celebrations (about 30 minutes away), but smaller, a little more chaotic and devoid of conveniences.
Before you fly
-
Indian airports require you to show your flight ticket (digital or printed) and ID at the entrance. To avoid any connectivity hiccups, print your ticket in advance.
-
All passengers must also complete an international boarding card via this link before check-in.
-
Airport Wi-Fi can be tricky for UK numbers — if you don’t receive an SMS code, just ask the help desk for a free Wi-Fi voucher code.

Arriving in Goa
-
Cars will be waiting to collect all guests at the airport and take you to your hotel — and back again at the end of the trip.
-
For wedding events, we’ll have coaches and cars running at scheduled times.
-
If you’d like to explore Goa during the day, taxis are available directly through your hotel, or we can help you arrange a private car for the day.
A few travel tips
-
If travelling within India and using Uber, book an XL for your luggage — as all taxis run on compressed gas, and the gas tank occupies a large part of the boot.
-
While cards are accepted in most bars and restaurants, smaller establishments still prefer cash — so make sure to have rupees on you (most major hotels like the ITC will have a cash point on the premises).
-
Finally, bring a sense of humour and adventure — the warmth of Goan hospitality more than makes up for any quirks along the way!
